Gone Digging
A collection for the Spring/Summer season.
The inspiration for this collection came together after a visit to the Drexel Natural History Museum. Through the museum, I learned there was a public program for people to visit Montana and dig up dinosaur bones and I couldn’t get the idea out of my head. I envisioned a Montana summer in a flowy dress getting down in the dirt and digging out some history.
For silhouettes I looked to western and prairie influences; pairing workwear details with feminine touches. I loved the idea of 70’s style prints with maximalist placements and wood block influences. For my color palette, I wanted a high color palette inspired by some of the colors from the natural landscape.
